Chaminade prospects

34
Chaminade Prep is loaded with baseball prospects. You can start with the obvious prospect, Blake Rutherford (UCLA), who may potentially be the best 2016 prospect in all of SoCal, but the prospects don't end there.

Below are some notes for three of Chaminades top prospects.

Dallas Tessar (SS): Does all the little things right. Is the prototypical middle infielder for Chaminade. Looks to have the abililty to stay at shortstop at the next level. At the plate he shows good pitch recognition which alllowed him to avoid the negative AB. Runs well and makes all the plays/throws from the middle of the infield. Committed to the University of Washington.

Nick Kahle (C) Popping anywhere from 2,02 - 2.15, Kahle also shows a very good approach at the plate to supplement his ability defensively. Showing very good footwoork, along with catch & throw ability. Has the ability to hit to all fields and flashes power potential. Runs well for a catcher. Being recruited by Cal State Northridge, Washington, Oregon State, and Cal State Fullerton.

Blake Rutherford (CF) Unquestionably the top 2016 player in SoCal in my mind. Rutherford didn't have the best day offensively but still showed what many scouts love about him. When he grounded out he ran a 4.24 down the line, showing his run tool. He did have a pop-up and not many opportunities defensively to show he's the top guy in his class. Defensively, though, he's as graceful as he is skilled. Tracking balls seems effortless for him and he has a near plus arm. Committed to UCLA.
