Oaks Christian used a seven run third inning to break the game open en route to a 10-3 victory over Vista Murrieta, in the first round of the Boras Classic at JSerra High School. The Lions sent 10 batters to the plate and belted three home runs in the inning.
Spencer Vogelbach got the win for the Lions. Harrison Hoff led the offense finishing 3-for-3 with 2RBI and three runs scored. Tyson Quolas added two hits, two RBI, and two runs scored. Nathaniel Palace also added a pair of hits. Jack Kruger's home run started things off for the Lions in the third. Hoff and Cole Taylor followed with home runs of their own.
Phil Bickford pitched Saturday and is expected to take the mound for the Lions on Thursday.
